FIRST® LEGO LEAGUE EXPLORE
Grades K-3
FIRST LEGO® League Explore introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children with a yearly challenge based on a different theme and has two main parts, the LEGO model and the Show Me Poster.
FIRST® LEGO LEAGUE CHALLENGE
Grades 4-6
In FLL Challenge, friendly competition is at the heart of this League, as teams of students grades 4-6 engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering – building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game.
Each yearly challenge is based on a different theme.
FIRST® TECH CHALLENGE
Grades 7-8
FIRST Tech Challenge students learn to think like engineers. Teams design, build, and code robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Robots are built from a reusable platform, powered by Android technology, and can be coded using a variety of levels of Java-based programming.
FIRST® ROBOTICS COMPETITION
Grades 9-12
Our FIRST Robotics Competition Team, under strict rules and limited time and resources, is challenged to build an industrial-sized robot to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals, designing a team “brand,” and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community.
